Florence Township is located along the Delaware River in Burlington County New Jersey and encompasses an area of 9.65 square miles. Passing through Florence Township you may see the many farms that dot the countryside or the small stores on the quaint small-town streets. Some of the larger commercial properties enjoy easy access to many of the major east coast highways that pass through our town. Planned residential developments and many smaller turn of the century developments are home to skilled labor forces and a wonderful tight knit community. Commute toPhiladelphia with ease via 295, 95, NJ and PA Turnpikes as well as 130, 206, Rt. 1, and Rt. 13(PA).
COMMUTING –Â without a car
New Jersey Transit operates an extensive bus service in Florence Township connecting commuters to the many metropolitan areas in the greater Delaware Valley.
New Jersey Transit is also developing commuter train service. The Southern New Jersey Light Rail Transit System (SNJLRTS), or River Line, is a 34-mile passenger light rail line that links Trenton to Camden. Two train stations are located in Florence Township. With 20 station stops serving communities along the Delaware River’s Route 130 corridor, light rail system connects riders to the larger transportation networks of New Jersey, Amtrak, PATCO and SEPTA.
